Half-Dragon Image

Half-dragon is a feat that can be applied to any race which has subraces. For races that don't have subrace options, choosing the half-dragon subrace means making changes to your character's base traits as follows

This Feat is not meant to be gained via Ability Score Increase, this is either given at level 1 or via story progress

Ability Score Increase.
Choose one of your Strength, Constitution, or Charisma score to increase by 1. You can't increase the same ability score that is increased by your base race.

Age.
Half-dragons live about twice as long as a member of their base race.

Darkvision.
Your draconic ancestry has granted you superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Draconic Nature.
Your creature type is considered to be both dragon and humanoid.

Draconic Ancestry.
You have draconic ancestry. Choose one type of dragon from the Draconic Ancestry table of the dragonborn race. Your breath weapon and damage resistance are determined by the dragon type, as shown in the table.

Dragon Damage Type Breath Weapon
Black Acid 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Blue Lightning 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Brass Fire 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Bronze Lightning 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Copper Acid 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Gold Fire 15 ft. cone (Dex. save)
Green Poison 15 ft. cone (Con. save)
Red Fire 15 ft. cone (Dex. save)
Silver Cold 15 ft. cone (Con. save)
White Cold 15 ft. cone (Con. save)

Breath Weapon. You can use your action to exhale destructive energy. Your draconic ancestry determines the size, shape, and damage type of the exhalation. When you use your breath weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your draconic ancestry. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 4d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 6d6 at 6th level, 8d6 at 11th level, and 10d6 at 16th level.

After you use your breath weapon, you can't use it again until you roll a 6 on a d6 at the start of your turn.

Draconic Resistance. You have resistance to the damage type associated with your draconic ancestry.

Half-dragons qualify for any feats that list "Dragonborn" as a prerequisite. Half-dragons must still meet any other prerequisites the feat might have.
