If you have a book relevant to a particular skill check and have time to consult it you may make that skill check at advantage, regardless of proficiency.
Additionally, you may treat reading as a tool which you are proficient in and can gain additional information from knowledge checks if you have read a relevant book inn the last 30 days.

Double down on this.

You can make a notebook with notes of books you have read once in your life that references a skill. If you haven't read a book that would give you proficiency, but have notes, add 1/2 of your proficiency bonus.

That's a cool idea. It could perhaps get a little finicky with shorthand and such?
I'll bring this to my DM (who made the feat).
