Blue Wing Aerial Bomber Embrace Image
Prerequisite: Requires flying ability, Requires a Strength score of 14 or higher, Must Dash while flying to activate

You have been noticed by Blue Wing, the Lonely Falcon Goddess of the Bird People, as a fierce (but lonely) aerial warrior. Your body has been toughened by flying at high speeds. Blue Wing has wrapped you in an elemental embrace  that protects you against and allows you to weaponize crash landings. You are now one with the air currents.

  • Your flying speed increases by 10ft
  • Increase your Strength or Dex score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • While using this feat, your are proficient with your body as an improvised weapon.
  • If you have wings, they slowly turn blue, from the edge feathers inwards.
  • If you do not have wings, spectral wings appear on your back whenever this is activated.
  • You glow a faint blue while activated

Using your bonus action to Dash while flying, activates the Blue Wing Aerial Bomber Shield. (A spectral Giant Blue Falcon embraces you with her wings before shimmering out of sight)

It grants you  +2 to AC until you come to a complete stop on the ground.  Upon crashing, intentionally or not, you (and anything/anybody you are carrying) take no damage. If you collide with a creature or object, using your body as an improvised weapon you deal 1d4 +STR +Prf force damage for every 20 feet you fall. The intended target may make a save against your DEX score, on a Save they have jumped out of the way and caused you to make a hole in the ground. They get an additional free reaction to attempt to jump for the lip of the chasm.

If you miss your target, or intentionally hit the ground, the force from your body makes a hole equal to 1d6 + Str Modifier for every 20 feet you fall (rounding down), the circumference of the hole is half the depth. You end up at the bottom of this hole, along with any creatures, players or objects standing in the area of impact who failed their save. All other creatures get a free reaction (unless currently disadvantaged against DEX saves.) They roll their DEX save against your STR score. A save means the force of the impact, combined with their jump threw them to the edge of the hole. They will start their next turn prone. A natural 20 means they land on their feet.  A Fail means they fall to the bottom of the hole with you, taking standard falling damage. 1d6 force damage for every 10 feet they fall. You take no damage from the impact or the fall.

Your +2 AC bonus dissipates once you come to a complete stop.

You are not prone, but you have Disadvantage on your next roll while inside the crater with any hostile creatures.

On a direct hit, after dealing force damage, the creature becomes prone and you are magically bounced away from your target a number of feet equal to 1d6 + your STR modifier. DM rolls 1d4 to decide direction.

1=North. 2=South. 3= East. 4.=West.

Any creatures or players you hit by bouncing takes an automatic force damage equal to your Proficiency Bonus and they are knocked prone. They can choose to roll a STR save to stay upright. On a save you come to a full stop in the same space as the creature and they get an attack of opportunity . On a Fail your direction changes again on each impact with a DM roll. This continues until you use up your bounce movement. You skid to a stop on your feet.

If you hit an object, like a wall or door, you deal the same force damage as if it were the ground.

While Bouncing off of creatures  you remain invulnerable. Your +2 AC bonus lasts until you come to a complete stop.

You can activate the Aerial Bomber Embrace, and choose to remain in the air. The Aerial Bomber Embrace remains active until you Come to a stop. Once activated you do not need to be dashing to keep the armor bonus.

At Level 10 you can use this feat twice per short rest.

At Level 12 you can direct your bounce.

At level 16 your +2AC Bonus becomes permanent.

At Level 20 (for wingless flight) the Spectral Wings are permanent. You can dismiss them as a bonus action, or call them back. You can choose to fly with your wings instead of you normal mode of flight.
