"The half-elf fighter stabbed the orc for the last time .And then the powers of all great beings were of him. And when his companions saw him come out of the light, he was new and reformed. Wings sprouted from his back. A golden aura was around him. And then he faced the rest of the orcs. And then with a slice of his blade they were gone."
When a character gains enough power to become level 20, they can take the option to become a member of the 5th power, a new legion of god-like characters who take on the sides of good, neutral, and evil; chaotic, neutral, and lawful. These beings can make pacts with warlocks, grant clerics divine power, and save a paladin in the heart of battle.
When a player character reaches level 20, the powers of the universe give them an option: they can continue being an adventurer or take on this feat.
They can cast the Alter Self spell with the following adjustments: You have to choose the Change Appearance option, but can choose another one. The duration is forever. You can change your size. You can become quadrupedal if you are bipedal, and vice versa. You can alter your basic shape(Extra limbs, wings, tails, etc.). You cannot alter your shape again once you choose it. This becomes the players normal look.
The player can make pacts with warlocks and give them abilities and spells to their choosing.
The player is not effected by dispel magic, antimagic field, protection from good and evil, etc.
The player can give clerics divine powers.
The player may choose a monster type (fey, fiend, etc.).They become it.
The player must choose one non-legendary monster that isn't the same type as them. At any point they may summon an army/a single one of those monsters, and the monster obeys the player.
The player has followers. For every 100 followers the player has, they earn 1 follower point. If they have 50 follower points they become as strong as the gods. If the player ever runs out of followers, they become a level 19 and lose this feat. When the player gains this feat, they can do one miracle.DM decides how many followers they gain.
If a player is to have a child with a mortal, their child becomes a demigod. If you have the pantheon ability: They gain a small portion of powers(DM's choice) related to your domain. Otherwise, DM chose's abilities.
Group feat: if the party all reaches level 20, they gain the pantheon ability: Each player must decide on one domain(War, Trickery, Healing, Marriage, Magic, etc). They gain all power over this domain. If the group wants, they can start a civilization. See the Civilization feat (Homebrew).

Posted Apr 14, 2019ehhh...this is basically you becoming a god, but how are you suppose to get a feat at lvl 20? and if the DM does allow this or decides to make the characters gods. I think it would be a plot thing or something established very early on in the story. and for a mortal to just suddenly become a god you'd probably need a very strong item and so forth. I just think it's just to game changing and if you wanted to be a god or something I'm sure you could think of a campaign like that. For example your a demigod and had your powers revoked to go through rigorous task to prove your worth and so on and so forth.

Posted May 13, 2020To me, it looks like you have to take this Feat at Lvl 19 and earn the last level. This means the Powers that Be are watching you and when you gain Lvl 20, you have proven yourself and are given the choice to remain mortal or ascend.
It is just a vastly simplified idea of the system set up in Origional D&D. You work to level 36 (yes, they went to level 36 back then), gain an Immortal Patron and complete the quest given to you to prove yourself, and then you start out at the bottom of the Immortals progression table.

I've been trying to find the civilization feat but haven't been able to find it.
