Whether you trained at a monastery, with a wandering master, or just some back-alley brawler, you know how to fight with your fists (and feet, and elbows, and head). Your actual style doesn't matter. Again, this can be anything from brawling to formalized training. Nevertheless, you gain the following benefits:
- Increase your Strength or Dexterity score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
- Your unarmed strike uses a d4 for damage and are considered Finesse weapons and you may use your Strength or Dexterity modifier as a bonus to hit and damage (choose one).
- When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike weapon on your turn, you can use a bonus action to attempt to grapple the target.
- When you take the attack, you can attempt a Combination Strike (Combo for short) which is detailed below.
Combination (Combo) Strike: As your attack action, you can attempt a Combo. There are two types: 2-hit Combo and 3-hit Combo. As the name implies, you make either 2 or 3 attacks, but with penalties. When attempting the 2-hit combo, both of your attacks are at -2. When attempting the 3-hit Combo, all three attacks are at -4. Once you reach level 12, the penalties drop to -1 and -2, respectively.
