A Knighthood is one of the lowest noble ranks that can be given by the ruler of a given country, but is often a path to gain a higher rank. As a Knight of a given Kingdom the player is given certain rights and privileges. The first of which is that Knights of a kingdom are given a few items as a note of their new rank. Knights are given a set of plate armor with symbols of the given kingdoms engraven or embossed into the armor. This includes fine pieces of cloth matching the colors of the kingdom that the player has been Knighted in. They are also given a signet ring as a mark of their station. The player now will have a limited amoung of control of land within the Kingdom in service to one of the lords as well as gaining the service of a squire, a level two fighter, that will follow commands within reason. Finally, the player is given a +1 longsword to use in battle. As part of accepting a Knighthood the player is accepting responsibility in a few different ways. They are expected to uphold the laws of the realm and failure to do so may result in harsh prosecution, they are expected to answer a call to war if ever their new mother nation finds itself in conflict, and may be required to complete certain quests in the realm if danger appears.
