You always despised violence. Your mind is your weapon and your charm is your armor. But deep inside you slumebers a monster and when it comes out people get hurt. You tried all your life to control this power, however sometimes it breaks loose.

Change your starting Barbarian equipment with the following:

  • A set of common clothes,  a set of artisan's tools (one of your choice), and a belt pouch containing 25gp

At 3rd level you automatically take the Path of the Berserker.

While not raging you are in a calm state with the following benefits:

Calm.

  • You get the Keen Mind feat.
  • All your barbarian proficiencies lay dormant and you get a set of new ones(see below). All barbarian class features are dormant as well, except for rage.
  • Whenever you take damage you must make a Constitution saving throw. The DC equals half the damage you take. You make this saving throw with disadvantages when the damage type is psychic. If you fail you start raging. This form of raging doesn't count against the number of times you can rage from your barbarian table, it lasts for 1 minute and only ends early if you are knocked unconscious. During that kind of rage you have to attack the creature who last damaged you. If that creature is dead you attack the creature closest to you. Beginning at 3rd level you always go into a frenzy when entering your rage in this manner.
  • At 4th and 8th level you have to pick a feat insteat of an ASI.
Calm Proficiencies

Armor: None
Weapons: None
Tools: one type of artisan’s tools of your choice
Saving Throws: Intelligence, Charisma
Skills: Choose two from History, Investigation, Medicine, Persuasion, Religion, and Survival

Rage. When you start raging all the benefits of being calm lay dormant. You gain your barbarian proficiencies and class features. In addition to the normal benefits while raging you get the following as well:

  • Your Ability Scores swap as follows: Strength - Intelligence, Dexterity - Wisdom, Constitution - Charisma.
  • You gain 5*Barbarian level temporary hit points(Max. of 50). If any of these remain when the Rage ends, they are lost.
  • When you hit a target with your fists, that target takes an extra 1d12 force damage. At 11th level the damage increases to 2d12 force damage.
  • Your speed increases by 10 feet.
  • Your size doubles in all dimensions, and your weight is multiplied by eight. This growth increases your size by one category – from Medium to Large, for example. If there isn’t enough room for you to double your size, you attain the maximum possible size in the space available.
  • You gain the Tavern Brawler feat at 1st level with a +1 to strength, at 4th level you get the Athlete feat with a +1 to strength and at 8th level you get the Mobile feat.
  • Beginning at 2nd level you always attack recklessly.
  • At 15th level you can attack three times insteat of twice with your Extra Attack feature.

Immediately after your rage ends, you must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or suffer one level of exhaustion.
