How the SoulForged came to be is a mystery? Each incarnation has it's own story to tell and neither is the same as the others that have existed before it. SoulForged are created through acts of divine intervention, unimaginable tragedy or, rumour has, it by the unbending will of two indomitable spirits.
Bound by fate, drawn on by purpose
When two or more souls are bound together the lines between each person can begin to blur. Whilst they may appear as an individual to the casual observer, overtime ideosyncrasies and tics may start to develop and be shared by those that are bound together.
A problem shared is a problem halved... The forging of souls is a rare thing indeed and the few cases that have ever been spoken of have their beginnings wreathed in myth and mystery. Whether through an unwavering dedication to the same goal, an unextinguishable love for one another or indeed by an breathtaking act of self-sacrifice - each individuals soul has been interwoven to the other. A bond unbreakable by magic and some say irreversable by the gods themselves...
Blood is thicker than water and a soul is thicker than both
Through the process of becoming SoulForged each individual gains a number of benefits though there are a few...complications, shall we say?
Please Note: The following class features are not representative of overall Class level but the number of levels grown since each character was bounded to the other.

| Bound Level | Feature |
|---|---|
| 1st | Never alone, Split the bill |
| 3rd | Home is where the heart is |
| 5th | Twist of Fate, What's mine is yours |
| 7th | Me and my Shadow |
| 9th | Avenged Sevenfold |
The Makers Mark
When each Soul has been bound to the other a mark is often left behind.
This may take the form of an amulet or bracelet that cannot be removed from the body, a shared tattoo that joins with their opposite or even the beginnings of heterochromia - each taking a shade from their partners form.
Never Alone
At 1st level, immediately after becoming Forged, you become aware of the others location even if they are on another plane of existence. This does not grant knowledge of there exact whereabouts but does give direction and approximate distance to them, should you become separated.
Split the bill
The body is more than flesh and blood and each creature is more than the sum of it's parts. Starting at 1st Level, for every successful attack roll made against your SoulForged partner you take half your class level in Force damage. This is irregardless of the amount of damage received by them.
Home is where the heart is
After jointly levelling up 3 levels, when stood within 5ft of each other you are able to teleport to a location you can see or are familiar with within 500ft. This ability will only work if one of the SoulForged is able to move freely. This ability cannot move through spells or into magically warded areas. You may use this ability once per long rest.
Twist of Fate
Starting at 5th level, when you take over 10 points of magic damage you may, as a Reaction, pass 1d4 + CHA modifier force damage through your SoulForge to an enemy within 30ft of your partner. The enemy must be within line of sight though this ignores up to 3/4 cover. This increases to 2d4 at 7th level, 3d4 at 9th level and 4d4 at 12th level. You may use this 3x per day
What's mine is yours
At level 5 your SoulForged bond becomes stronger than steel. In a time of need you are able to sacrifice your lifeforce to aid your ally. As an Action you may sacrifice as many hit points as you wish (temporary HP do not count towards this) and your ally receives half in return. This can only be done once per Day.
Me and My Shadow
At 7th level gained you are able to cast - as a bonus - a projection of yourself that moves independently within 5ft of your SoulForged partner. This projection is classed as a Major Illusion and cannot make any actions. This grants your ally a +2 to their AC as their opponent is caught off guard by this unexpected backup! The illusion lasts 1 minute and can only be cast 1x per Short Rest.
Avenged Sevenfold
At level 9, if your SoulForged is rendered unconscious at any time you gain a reaction. If the target of your ire is the opponent that felled your ally, you gain advantage on the roll and deal an extra 1d8 psychic damage on a successful hit. This increases to 2d8 at level 11th and 4d8 at 13th level.
