You practice the forbidden art of Hemomancy, granting you the following benefits:
- You can cast a spell you know at its lowest possible level without expending a spell slot. When you do so, you gain a number of levels of exhaustion equal to half the spells level (rounded up).
- When you cast a cantrip, you can expend a hit die to add a roll of your hit die to its damage.
- When you cast a spell that requires a costly material component you can pay some or all of the price with your blood. When you do so, you can inflict any amount of damage to yourself and reduce the value of the components needed for this casting by an amount of gold equal to twice the damage you take times the level of the spell slot expended (for example, to cast the 3rd level spell revivify you could forgo providing the 300 gp dimond needed if you took 50 points of damage (2 x 50 hp x a third level spell slot = 300 gp)). When you do so, you cannot take more damage than you have hit points, and temporary hit points lost don't count towards the damage taken for this effect.
