Chaos seems to follow you like a shadow, always there, usually passive, but sometimes it comes alive, whether you want it to or not.
During an sufficiently long interval, since the last triggering or rest (anywhere from 1/2 to 5 hours) or during combat (anywhere from 4 to 20 turns), trigger a Chaos Release. How often this will happen is affected by the number of number, type and strength of magical energy output of objects or entities nearby and also by how much magical energy is released by the character (i.e. casting level 5 spells will increase the frequency of Chaos Releases relative to casting level 1 spells), as well as how much stress a character is under (A Torturer might be in for an unpleasant surprise, that no one expected). Effect strength may be modified by circumstances ( same effect during a lovely walk on a sunny or bearing witness to battle between powerful other-worldly beings, will differ in quantity. First situation, you might wonder if there is a pigeon above. In the second, the amount of material may be described as god-tier. ). A Chaos Release can be considered to take a bonus action and may not be prevented or suppressed, unless an effect effectively prevents it.
When a Chaos release occurs, Character does a check (depending on situation, the amount to be checked also depends on situation). If check is above cutoff +1- random positive effect off of positive effect table is seen, pick effect by rolling a 1d10. If check is between cutoff +1 and cutoff -1, inclusive, - random neutral effect off of neutral effect table is seen, pick effect by rolling a 1d10. If check is below cutoff -1, random negative effect off of negative effect table happens, pick effect by rolling a 1d10. An effect that causes character to move causes the source of the effect to also move (i.e. no outrunning an explosion). Any moderate intelligent and open to thinking creature can easily see that most of the time a Chaos Release is not intentional ( a poorly educated farmer will comment how terrible it is that a large bird dropping lands on either his head or the characters head, with no malice, unless by default he is malicious, even though you are somehow connected to it, does not hold you responsible for it, a single minded berserker will not make such a distinction, if the berserker identifies you as the source of an effect that caused him a problem. ).
At character level 9, you gain the spell Manage Chaos. This spell is always available and does not take up space (for example if character is a wizard it never has to be readied and does not reduce the number of spells that can be readied).

(how does it interact with wild magic?)
