When a dragon of ancient status or above starts seeing another as a child that is not of dragon heritage, they become soul bonded. This allows the dragon and the one they soul bonded to hear each others thoughts and know where the other is, as well as feel their current state of emotion. At all times. They cannot turn it off. There are several levels to the bond.
1. One month after soul bond is initiated
- Begins hearing each others thoughts
- Can feel some emotion
2. Two months after soul bond is initiated
- Can always hear each others thoughts
- Feels all emotions all the time
3. Six months after soul bond is initiated
-Gains access to Dragon Rage
- Can polymorph in the young version of the dragon they soul bonded with
4. One year after soul bond
- Can Polymorph into adult version of said dragon
5. Five years
-Can polymorph into ancient version
6. One thousand years
-Turns into a dragon
