Prerequisite: Requires a Strength score of 13 or higher
Advanced training in hand to hand combat has given you the ability to have more fine-tuned control of your grappled opponents, giving you the following benefits:
- While you have a creature grappled, you may throw the creature to the ground. As a bonus action, make a Strength (Athletics) check contested by the grappled creature's Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) skill. On a success, you end the grapple and knock the enemy prone, dealing 1d4 + your Strength modifier bludgeoning damage.
- While you have a creature grappled, you may use the creature to intercept an attack. If you are grappling a creature when a creature makes a ranged weapon attack or a ranged spell attack against you, you may use your reaction to make a Strength (Athletics) check contested by the grappled creature's Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) skill. On a success, the creature you are grappling is targeted instead. Use the grappled creature's AC to determine if this attack hits. If the attack has multiple attack rolls, only the first hit is intercepted.
- When a hostile creature's movement provokes an opportunity attack from you, you can attempt to grapple the target, rather than making an weapon attack.
