Prerequisite: An animal befriended by multiple succesfull animal handling checks over a prolonged periiot of time. will happen faster if the animal was nurtured by the player.

You have created a close companionship with a beast. This bond is non magical and depends a lot on animal handling checks and your modifier in that perticular skill increases the power of your beast. These animals will often be a lot hardier than their natural counterpart due to experience in fighting together and general fight training. BUT they are mortal and can not be summoned by "find familiar" and do not get any of the other advantages of the spell.

("Mod" will refer to your animal handling modifier to help with ease of reading its complicated enough as  it is)

The armor class of the beast is determined by a base value + half of your Mod:  8+ (animal handling Mod/2)

Hp value is determined by rolling an amount of d4 or d6(depending on the creature and age) equal to 1 per level + Mod/2 + a fixed value determined by Con times your Mod (can be negative)

Depending on the Creature you (with your DM) can determine where you want to put which stats:

5+Mod (Animal handling)  7+Mod  8+ Mod/2  3+ Mod/2   10+ Mod/3    10 (no bonus)

Proficiency bonus equals your own bonus.

Your beast will act directly after you in a fight and will always take the Dodge action if you dont use your own Bonus action to give it an direct command. The animal is trained to understand every language you speak and will react if you use telepathy. The actions you can give as an command depend on the beast. for example a trained cat could have 2 claw attacks or one bite while a wyvern wyrmling could use a weak poison stinger as an attack.

The Bonus to hit depends on the type of attack (STR or DEX) with that modifier applying + the beasts proficiency bonus to hit.

The damage of those attacks depends both on the beast and the number of attacks it can make. The damage will get bonus damage of the same type with either STR or DEX + the animal handling Mod/4. For any saving throws the beast may force the Dc is determined by 8 + proficiency + Mod/4

For example: Claw attack = 1( base for claws) +  3 (DEX of 16) + 2(Mod/4);

  poison stinger: 1(base for stinger) + 3(STR of 16) + 2(Mod/4)  + a Dc 13 Con save or the taget takes 1+(Mod/3)d4 damage, otherwhise half.
