Having lost your hearing long ago, you learned to adjust with more discerning eyes. Whereas others hear, you're forced to analyze body language, while also taking into account the context of every given situation to more effectively deduce what someone is saying.
This feat provides the following effects:
-You permanently suffer the deafened condition. Additionally, any spells that would require the target to hear (i.e. Viscious Mockery, Suggestion, etc.) automatically fail on you.
-If you can see a creature's mouth while it is speaking a language you understand, you can interpret what it's saying by reading its lips.
-You have advantage on perception and insight checks against humanoid creatures you can see. You lose this benefit whenever you're blinded.
