Thanks to extensive close range firearms experience, you gain the following benefits:

• Instead of making a ranged attack you can replace one or all of your attacks with a melee attack, striking a creature with the butt of your firearm. This deals 1d6 plus Strength bludgeoning damage and, if you hit, the creature cannot take opportunity attacks against you until the end of your turn. You can also use this melee attack as an opportunity attack.
• Additionally, whenever you use the burst fire property you can choose to exclude any friendly creature that would otherwise be affected.
