You have been chosen by a dragon to be their student. This choice is marked on your body somehow. How this occurs can either be random or up to the player via the table below. Choose or roll twice, selecting both.
| D8 | change |
|---|---|
| 1 | Your teeth are sharp and interlock like an alligator. |
| 2 | Your eyes are inhuman. They have slit pupils and are yellow or brown. |
| 3 | You have patches of scales across your body. |
| 4 | Your ears become finned and look reptilian, becoming scaled. |
| 5 | Your skin changes colors to match a color of a dragon. |
| 6 | You get small protruding spikes on your body. |
| 7 | Your hair becomes bright red, moving like fire no matter the environment. |
| 8 | Your fingers, toes, and armpits become webbed. |
You gain the following benefits:
- Increase your Constitution score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
- You learn a cantrip of your choice from the sorcerer spell list. In addition, choose a 1st-level spell from the sorcerer spell list. Once you cast it, you must finish a short or long rest before you can cast it again. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
- You can read, write, and speak a language of your choice, though it must be Draconic if you do not already speak Draconic.
- Spells you cast ignore resistance to fire damage, and treat immunity to fire as resistance. You are also immune to fire damage.
- When you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for a spell that deals fire damage, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll, even if the new roll is a 1 or a 2
Since you are selected, you are spoken to by the dragon who selected you. To be spoken to, you must be asleep or meditating, and it is always telepathic.
