Prerequisite: You must posess both wings and flying speed, provided by any source (race, class, subclass,

Through extensive training, you have strengthened your wings and learned to use them for more than basic flight.

  • Your flying speed increases by 5'.
  • You can use your wings to make an unarmed strike, as you would with any of your other limbs.  When you do so, you add 5 feet to your reach when you attack with a wing, as well as when determining your reach for opportunity attacks with it.
  • When you move on your turn using only your flight speed, you can double your speed until the end of the turn. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus. When you finish a long rest, you regain all expended uses.

Creator's note: Like many other feats that expand upon more basic abilities, this feat gives more options for characters with wings and a flying speed, that are not duplicated by other feats.  This feat primarily benefits winged races/subraces such as Aarakocra, Protector Aasimar of sufficient level, or Winged Variant Feral Tieflings, but could also by used by a Druid in Wildshape of sufficent level, a polymorphed Wizard, a Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer of sufficient level, etc.  Constructive criticism welcomed.
