Requires firearm proficiency, and either Strength 13+ or Dexterity 13+.
You are proficient at close quarters combat with pistols, mixing in some unarmed techniques as well, granting you the following
benefits:
While fighting with a firearm that has the close property, you can add +1 to your AC. Additionally, you are not at disadvantage when firing in melee combat.
When you take the Attack action and attack with a firearm that has the close property, you can use a bonus action to make a melee weapon attack with the butt of your pistol, your elbow, or a knee. This attack uses either Strength or Dexterity as an ability modifier, and the damage for this attack is 1d4 + ability modifier bludgeoning damage.
While two-weapon fighting with two firearms that have the close property, you may add your ability modifier to the damage of your off-hand attacks.
When an enemy within 5 feet makes a weapon attack against you, you may use your reaction to shove or disarm them. You can make a Strength (Athletics) or a Dexterity (Acrobatics) opposed skill check, and the opponent gets to choose which of those two skills they will use. This is resolved before their attack occurs.
After you have successfully shoved a target (either knocking them prone or pushing them back 5 feet), on your turn, you can use a bonus action to make one weapon attack against them with a firearm that has the close property.
