You can bond one specific weapon by performing a special ritual while you hold the weapon. You perform the ritual over the course of 1 hour, which can be done during a short rest. At the end of the ritual, you select which of your attribute scores this weapon will use for attack and damage rolls. You can then dismiss the weapon, shunting it into an extradimensional space, and you can summon it as a free action. You can't affect an artifact or a sentient weapon in this way. The weapon ceases being a bonded weapon if you die, if you perform the 1-hour ritual on a different weapon, or if you use a 1-hour ritual to break your bond to it. The weapon appears at your feet if it is in the extradimensional space when the bond breaks.
Your bonded weapon disappears if it is more than 5 feet away from you for 1 minute or more. It also disappears if you use this feature again, if you dismiss the weapon (no action required), or if you die. This weapon counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. If you perform the ritual again, you can change the ability score the bonded weapon will use for attack and damage rolls.
If you have a class feature like Warlock Pact of the Blade or Eldritch Knight Weapon Bond, this feat allows you bond an additional weapon. It also allows you to summon or dismiss both weapons as a free action. It does allow an Eldritch Knight to bond a third weapon, but they can only summon at most two of them as a free action.
