You have been touched by the curse of Lycanthropy, but through ritual and determination have acquired the ability to find some balance with the curse.
- Once per short rest, as a bonus action, you can Shift into a more bestial form, whereupon you gain the following benefits:
- You gain Temporary HP equal your level + your Constitution modifier
- Your walking speed increases by 10 feet
- As a reaction you can move up to 10 feet when a creature ends its turn within 5 feet of you. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks
- As a bonus action you can make a Bite attack, dealing 1d6 + your strength modifier piercing damage. You are considered proficient with this attack
Your control of this bestial form is somewhat tenuous.
- You cannot fully benefit from a Long Rest on nights when the moon is full. You may use HD to recover hit points and can still recover up to half of your HD and prepare spells as per normal, but no Long Rest abilities or spell slots can be recovered. Typically, the moon is considered to be full for a 3 consecutive nights.
- You must make a Constitution saving throw at sunrise after a full moon or suffer one level of Exhaustion. As per the standard rules - the DC for this saving throw begins at 10, and increases by 5 for each day in which you miss your Long Rest.
- When in your Shifted form, when you take damage you must make a concentration check (as if you were concentrating on a spell - though this feature does not require concentration). If you fail this concentration check you enter a Primal Rage.
- While in a Primal Rage, you cannot cast spells or maintain concentration on existing spells, and
- You must attack the creature which damaged you.
- The Primal Rage persists until either you or it is incapacitated, you can no longer reach the creature to make a melee attack, or you use your action on your turn to regain control.
