You have become proficient in your usage of Swords. 

• Gain proficiency with longswords, shortswords, greatswords, rapiers, and scimitars. 
• Choose Between an Offensive or Defensive sword style. 

Offensive 

Gain the feint ability allowing you to attempt to fake out an opponent causing them to make a mistake and giving you an opening for attack. As a bonus action, make an opposed deception check against the targets perception skill. Upon successfully deceiving the target you gain advantage on the next melee attack made against that target on the same turn. 

An attack must be made against the target of this ability immediately after using feint or advantage will be lost. 

This ability may only be used why the attacker is using one of the weapons granted proficiency be the adept swordsman feat. 

Defensive

Gain the riposte ability allowing you to attempt to counterattack after being targeted with a melee attack by an enemy. As a reaction, whenever you are successfully targeted with a melee weapon you may make an opposed dexterity check. Upon a successful dexterity check, you may counterattack the opponent making a single attack roll against them. 

This ability can only be used if you are wielding one of the weapons granted proficiency by the adept swordsman feat.
