If you have a grappling hook you can take a bonus action to swing with your grappling hook by repelling yourself with your legs. Your ability to pull out your grappling hook is much faster so you make take a bonus action to equip it and use it in one swift motion as long as it is 10 pounds or less. The amount of rope on the grappling hook in feet is the amount in a circular radius that you can swing in. So if you have 30ft worth of grappling hook while attached to an object that doesn't weigh more than you then you may swing in the 30ft circular radius and the amount you can travel while grappling is heavily dependent of the geography of where you swing. A good way to rule this is to imagine if logically you think your character could swing to a distance from a point where you have fired from if you are unsure ask your dm how far they think you can travel. When you use the grapple swing you also must roll an acrobatics check with a DC of 10 to see if you fail the swing or not. If you fail the swing you only travel about half the distance from the swing and slip up if you roll a natural 1 then you only swing 5ft then let go of your grappling hook. If you get a natural 20 you don't take opportunity attacks while swinging. While you are grappling you may use an action and at the end of the swing your movement is zero for the turn. If you collide into any object or creature that could stop your path you do so and end the swing early. Also to swing efficiently you must always be on the outside of the radius when swinging as to build momentum. You may also take your action to jump 10ft from the grapple as well.
