You form a bond with a minor elemental of a river, oasis or lake, granting you some influence over the element of water and an innate understanding of the medicinal arts. You gain the following traits:
- Aquae Vitae: You gain proficiency in Wisdom (Insight) checks and in the use of brewer's supplies.
- Graced by the water's of youth, you age half as quickly as other members of your species, and you do not perceptibly age beyond what would be considered middle-aged.
- Empathic Intuition: When you make a Wisdom (Insight) check to determine if a creature is lying, you may give yourself advantage on the roll. You may do so once, regaining the use when you complete a short or long rest.

Innate Spellcasting: You learn one of the following cantrips: acid splash, shape water, spare the dying. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this cantrip.
You learn one of the following spells and may cast it at its lowest level once for free, regaining the use when you complete a long rest: create or destroy water, cure wounds, inflict wounds, purify food and drink. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this spell. You may swap this spell for a different one from the same list when you gain a level.

Posted Jul 24, 2021I have endeavoured to make this feat as user-friendly as possible, and have tried to keep it balanced when compared to official feats. I welcome all constructive criticism and feedback. If you find that a particular point is not clear, or if feel that the balance is off, I hope and ask that you will leave a comment. Nothing excites me more than knowing that something I have designed is being play-tested.

Please note that this particular feat was originally designed to give an optional tool proficiency, and is thus one of two variations, the others being Healer (for Medicine and Alchemist's supplies). At the time of writing this, there does not appear to be any way to program the necessary options to work automatically with character sheets, and so I have decided to create multiple variations of this feat. If a way to code these options into homebrew feats is added later, I hope to amalgamate the variations into one, neat package.
