Being a master of the arcane has endowed you with greater fortitude in the ability to cast spells.
Once per long rest, you can gain spell slots based on double your proficiency bonus. This is done by dividing up your proficiency bonus multiplied by two into the desired slots. For example, a creature with an proficiency bonus of +3 would have 6 (2*3=6) slots they can divvy up. These 6 slots can be made into two 3rd-level slots (3+3=6), or one 6th-level slot, or one 2nd-level slot and one 4th-level slot (2+4=6), or any combination of slots that adds up to 6. This can be used to cast lower level spells using higher level spell slots. This will also allow the wearer to gain spell slots for which they may not yet have spells of a level that can be cast.
