Prerequisite: Requires a Dexterity score of 13 or higher

The extensive use of and training with a whip has made you a master of these leather ropes. You gain the following beneftis:

  • The damage die for attacks you make with whips change from d4's to d6's.
  • You can use an action to attempt to attach your whip to an object, either to move it (like a cup, weapon or bag) or hold on to it (like a beam, the handle of a door or a tree branch). Doing this requires you to roll an attack roll, the DC being 10. Attacking with your whip while holding an object doesn't grant you any extra damage, but the DM may rule it changes the damage. For example, the damage of the whip might change to bludgeoning damage instead of slashing while holding a stone with it.
  • When you attack a creature with a whip, you can use your bonus action to force the creature to make a dexterity saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your strength or dexterity modifier). On a fail, the creature is grappled, and you can't use the whip to attack anything until the grapple ends. You can end the grapple during your turn, no action required.
  • As a bonus action, you can move a creature you have grappled with a whip 10ft towards you.
  • You can make unarmed strikes using the hand holding your whip to a creature grappled with that whip.
