"Bravely bold Sir Robin..."

Restriction: You cannot have both this and the Lucky Feat.

In an attempt to improve your visage and reputation - and perhaps to give yourself a morale boost prior to battle - you have hired yourself a band of minstrels to back up your antics with catchy tunes.

To hire them, you must spend a total of 15gp when you initially take this Feat (5 per minstrel) and maintain their services you must pay them the same rate (15gp total or 5 per musician) per month of in-game time. (If your DM is throwing more gold at you than normal, they have the authority to raise your rates!) Each minstrel also counts as a living, breathing person - meaning you need to feed them and pay to house them when that is needed. The amount of rations each minstrel eats is dependent on their race and size. Failure to properly take care of your minstrels will cause them to abandon you. If this happens, you can rehire more minstrels the next time you visit a tavern or inn in town.

You have three musicians at your disposal. You may choose what races they are, what instruments they play, and what Genre they perform in. Each Genre grants your minstrels different abilities.

When hired, they are equipped with only their instruments, a bedroll, and an empty backpack. Each musician has Hit Points equal to (your character level + your CON modifier + your proficiency modifier). Those empty backpacks of theirs increases your carrying capacity by 30 pounds per minstrel (90 lbs total), however, if the minstrels die, whatever they're carrying could be lost as well.

To utilize your minstrels, you gain 3 Minstrel points. You regain all spent Minstrel points after a long rest.

Wandering Minstrel Genre ("Bravely bold Sir Robin...")

That's Enough Music for Now, Lads: You can choose to spend 1 Minstrel point to have your band play a song to assist you in social interaction. These songs can be happy or horrifying depending on what you're trying to do. You can choose to gain advantage on a Intimidation, Persuasion, OR Deception check.

Bravely Bold [your name here]: Prior to when you roll for Initiative, you can spend 1 Minstrel point to have your Minstrels spur you into action. If you do so, you gain advantage on your Initiative roll.

And There Was Much Rejoicing: Should the situation be turned against you, you can spend all of your remaining Minstrel points to have your backup singers stay put and perform as a distraction for whatever's troubling you. Should this result in their deaths, you'll have to re-hire new singers.

Genre Swap: you can fire your current minstrels and hire new ones when the opportunity presents itself. Of course, if your minstrels are dead, there's no need to fire anyone!

Troupe Leader Genre (A Bard Leading a Band)

Backup Chorus: Your minstrels offer solid vocals to boost your spellcasting. When casting a spell that requires a saving throw against a single target, you can spend 1 Minstrel point impose disadvantage on that saving throw for that target.

Plot Armor: No song would be complete if you weren't alive to finish it! As a reaction, you can spend 2 Minstrel points to increase your AC by +3.

Jazz Improv: As a reaction, you can spend 1 Minstrel point to add your proficiency modifier to any ability check or saving throw that doesn't already use your proficiency modifier.

Legendary Enchanted Jetpack: Honestly, you have no idea where your minstrels are getting their lyrics from, but whatever the case, the music's making you believe that you can do things you really shouldn't be capable of. You can spend 1 Minstrel point to double your movement speed, your jump distance, and jump height.

While All The People Die: Your minstrels are inspiring you into a battle rage. You can spend 3 Minstrel points to gain resistance to nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage for 1 minute. During that time, once per turn you can add an additional 1d8 to any damage roll.
