You gain the companionship of a beast that follows you into battle. You gain a beast companion as if you had cast the summon beast spells with the following changes:

- It doesn't require concentration and the beast lasts until slain. If the beast dies, you can use a spell slot of any level to revive it with 10 hit point or you can summon a new beast over the course of a long rest.

- The beast's statistics are as if you cast the spell at a level equal to your proficiency bonus.

You can select this feat more than once. If you already have the feat or a another ability that grants you a companion, such as the Ranger's Companion, Primal Companion, Steel Defender or Wildfire Spirit, you can choose to gain an additional companion, which you can control as part of the same bonus action, or you can can improve one of your companions by choosing three of the following benefits. You cannot apply a benefit more than once to the same companion:

- The companion's armor class increases by a number equal to your Wisdom modifier.

- The companion's hit points increase by a number equal to your level.

- The companion's movement speed increases by 10.

- The companion gains your choice of 120 ft. Darkvision, 30 ft. blindsight or 60 ft. Tremorsense.

- The companion's weapon attacks deal an additional 1d8 acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison or thunder damage.

- The companion's size increases by one category.
