3rd Level
The Ranger commands their animal companion to make a high, sharp sound. By listening to the echo, the Ranger is able to create a mental topographic image of the world within a 150’ radius of the ranger. This map cannot discern anything besides shape. The ranger must be familiar with a shape to recognize it for what it is. Only stationary objects are clearly defined. Moving objects are indistinct but the general size can be made out. The ranger can perform this ability a number of times equal to their proficiency bonus and are replenished by a short rest. Invisibility does not affect Liu Sang’s Echolocation.
5th Level
If the Ranger’s well known friend or favored enemy type is within range of Liu Sang’s Echolocation, they are perceived on the mental map clearly.
6th Level
If the Ranger expends a spell slot when using Liu Sang’s Echolocation, the mental map is perceived in photographic detail, moving objects are no longer indistinct. Invisible objects perceived in this manner are perceived as they would be at level 1.
