Prerequisite: Requires Carpentry Tools or Mason's Tools (if creating stone buildings) Proficiency

  • You gain the ability to repair vehicles, siege engines and buildings more effectively.
Please have a quick look at  the rules for buildings, siege engines and vehicles in our
setting if you consider choosing this feat.

  • Additionally, you gain the knowledge and ability to coordinate your group to construct fortified positions. Doing so requires at least 4 group members (including you) to work together on the project for the entire time specified, and suitable materials such as trees or rocks must be able to be found in the near vicinity. This feat does not cover acquiring the necessary materials over larger distances if they are not readily available.

  • When creating a small fort or watchtower, the group can attempt a group skill challenge to gain up to 50% bonus hit points or a 50% reduction on the construction time for their constructions. (Recommended Average DC 13 for 25%, Average DC 16 for 50%.)

Small Fort

With your group involved, you can create a small fort within two hours. If the fort is made of stone, it takes 3 hours to create.

It consists of 12x 5 ft fences (5 feet high) with AC 12 and 25 hp each.
A character can not walk on these walls, but standing behind them (on the inside) grants half cover (+2 to AC and Dexterity Saving Throws).

If made of wood, the palisades are vulnerable to fire damage.

Watchtower

With your group involved, you can create a tower within two hours. If the tower is made of stone, it takes 3 hours to create.

A watchtower is a 1x 5x5 tower (15 feet high, 1 story) with AC 12 and 50 hp; The tower has a ladder to climb it, which counts as difficult terrain and can be retracted. Standing on the tower grants +2 to hit on ranged attacks on targets below where you’re standing and grants half cover.

If made of wood, the tower is vulnerable to fire damage.
