Divine Spark: Protector Of The Balance Image
Prerequisite: Must worship Melora

(***Note, this is designed for a home campaign and balance is out the window, use this feat at your own risk but remember the rule of cool!)

Melora has decided that the formless, divine strength within you can be molded to bring your desire to protect the world and more importantly: the natural balance of the wilds. By taking this oath, you forsake the form of other Divine Sparks in favor of realizing your final role: the guardian of nature and the health of your world. By accepting this power to shape your destiny, you become one with the natural world and form an unconscious bond with everything around you. You become able to speak with all beings native to your plane as well as those from adjacent planes. In addition, your resolve becomes absolute in your duty and you can effortlessly sense places where the veil has become thin or damaged. Using the power given to you, you are able to repair any damage done to the balance whether by a mystic connection or through force.

With such a gift, you are also able to call upon other defenders of nature for aid in your great task. You also gain the ability to see through layers of existence and determine the origin of creatures before you, whether native or not and with this knowledge, you are able to discern the best ways to aid them or purge them. Even the most simple creatures will be able to understand your benevolence or your fervor and they will be able to sense your purpose to the world. Whether this knowledge causes them to fear you or respect you depends on their intentions. You are also able to draw upon the power of the world around you, combining it with your own abilities. In this way, the world seeks to aid you in defending it.

You gain the following benefits:

*You may cast speak with animals freely and the spell also affects natural constructs like trees and plants as well as creatures both native to your plane and not.

*You can sense what causes any disturbances in the world you inhabit, whether that be a weakened veil between planes or an artificially conjured artifact or spell. With this knowledge you will know the best way to resolve the issue. For disturbances that must be dealt with through spells, you may use the spell needed to end the disturbance without spending components or being able to cast the spell, you must still succeed on the check to resolve the effect. Your spell modifier for such instances is Wisdom.

*While on your home plane, you are able to detect living and natural creatures within 100 feet of you and gain advantage to perception checks to discover hidden creatures or items. You may also detect non-native creatures and items this way but they give off a disturbing or strange aura that causes you to lose advantage on your perception checks if their numbers are greater than 10. You gain advantage on your first attack each round against any creature detected this way.

*You may use an action in combat to summon a nearby creature within 3 miles to aid you in your battle. The creature will arrive in 1d4 rounds and its Challenge Rating and type will depend on where you are currently located. While this can call upon the aid of any local creature, great or small, stronger allies may require a good enough reason to fight for you or even an offering for their service. If you are in a place where there are no creatures to summon, this power fails and you may instead use a bonus action in its place, even if you have already used a bonus action.

*You may use an action in combat to draw upon the natural world around you and gain a boon associated with your surroundings. You may have a number of effects active at any given time equal to your Wisdom modifier and all effects end after you take a short rest, you are unable to duplicate the effects of any boon exactly but may draw upon the same source with different effects each time. The effects of this are largely up to your DM but may include:

-Using the guise of night to gain advantage on stealth checks or to gain brief invisibility

-Harnessing the sturdiness of a nearby stone to increase your AC by 1.

-Taking on the qualities of a snake in a nearby tree and gaining 5 feet to your melee weapon reach

-Nourishing your body with the healing properties of some medicinal herbs growing nearby and gaining 5 hp at the start of each of your turns

-Drawing on the power of clouds and reducing the weight of your body so you may float downward to safety from a great height
