
You have become a skilled tamer. You gain proficiency in the animal handling skill. Additionally, once between long rests, you use your action to choose a creature of the beast type that is a challenge rating of 1/4 or lower, and is within 60 feet of you. That creature must makes a wisdom saving throw, contested against your Wisdom (animal handling) check. If you win, the creature becomes your companion. It remains your companion for 24 hours, or until it is reduced to 0 hp. You can never have more than once companion in this way at a time.
Your companion obeys your commands as best as it can. It takes its turn on your initiative. On your turn, you can verbally command the beast where to move (no action required by you). You can use your bonus action to verbally command it to take the Attack, Dash, Disengage, or Help action. If you don't issue a command, the beast takes the Dodge action.
