Once per day there is a chance of 25% that you might forget how to cast a spell. Before casting your prepared spell you can determine this spell to have the risk to fizzle. Roll a d100 - if your result is between 1 and 25 the magic slips away from your mind and the spell fizzles.
If this happens you have a 10% chance on the same day that your former extraordinary brain delivers another spell. Roll a d100 - if your result is between 91 and 100 you are free to choose any unprepared spell from your spell list within in your range of spell slots.
An unused remembered spell vanishes after your long rest.
