Melee weapons with the two-handed property can now be wielded in one hand while attacking. However, this does not make the weapons any less cumbersome to use.
While wielding a melee weapon with the two-handed property with one hand, any attack roll you make with advantage with that weapon is restricted to 1d20. You still retain all other benefits of attacking with advantage.
If you have 16 or less strength while wielding a melee weapon with the two handed property in one hand, and make an additional attack with any weapon as a bonus action, this bonus action attack is always made at disadvantage, even if that attack would otherwise have advantage. Attacking with advantage does not negate the disadvantage of this bonus action attack and this bonus action attack gains no other benefits of being at advantage.
You are still limited by any other two weapon fighting restrictions (such as weapons requiring the "light" property unless possessing the "Dual Wielder" feat in order to make your second attack as a bonus action). The Dual Wielder feat is expanded to include two handed weapons when used in conjunction with the Giant's Grip feat.
