Your supernatural sight into the darker powers of the world has allowed you to glean secrets from creatures or cripple them through the use of your brand of castigation. When you apply your brand to a creature, you can choose one of two effects to additionally take place for the duration of the brand:

• Brand of Soul Gaze: You gain special insight of the creature's past, combat capabilities, and any weaknesses you can exploit as determined by your DM. You retain any knowledge plundered when the brand ends and you can continue to learn more about the branded creature even after its death.
• Brand of Sickening Soul: The branded creature has disadvantage on saving throws and ability checks on one attribute of your choice.
