When a creature you can see hits a target, other than you, within 5 feet of you with an attack, you can use your reaction to emit a defensive field from your shield. The damage of the attack is reduced by 1d10 plus your proficiency bonus. You must be wielding a shield to use this reaction.
You can use this reaction a number of times per long rest equal to your proficiency bonus.
