For any class capable of using magic. After having died once and been revived, now knowing the fear of death your character wishes to prolong its mortality by any means necessary. Experiencing death gives them a special glimpse into the very essence of living creatures and now has a very basic understanding of their soul and how to manipulate it. After being knocked unconscious, should you survive, during your next long rest you enter a magical cocoon like state and your body morphs to become permanently resistant to the type of damage dealt that knocked you unconscious. For example if you are knocked unconscious by a fire ball and survive, you become resistance to fire damage after a long rest. If you are knocked unconscious by multiple types of damage before your next long rest you may choose one type of damage from the list to become resistant to. Once the choice is made your options deplete to zero and you must again be knocked unconscious before having any choices to become resistant to your next long rest. It is up to you and your dm if you wish to have visible physical mutations on your character based on the resistance you chose. You must have a sense of genuine fear and concern for your life in order for your body to remember the type of damage that knocked you unconscious, meaning you cant not have your party members knock you unconscious every night to gain a new resistance because you know they would not truly kill you and there is no sense of fight or flight or genuine fear and concern for your life.
