Alternate Spells Known and Prepared for Sorcerers

Divide spells known into Minor and Major Spells. Major Spells are always prepared. Minor Spells are chosen at the end of a long rest to be prepared, and are considered prepared effortlessly. Every level up, learn a number of spells of your class to match the total number of Minor and Major Spells you should know. Minor Spells may not be of the highest spell level available to you. Every level up, you may do any or all of: 1) Replace one Minor Spell with a new spell; 2) Replace one Major Spell with a new spell; 3) Make a Minor Spell into a Major Spell, and a Major Spell into a Minor Spell.  Listed below is the pattern for leveling up, learning, and preparing spells. A couple notes. Ordinarily when you get access to a new higher level of spells, you can immediately learn up to two spells of that level. This is true for this method of learning spells too, except for 9'th level spells (due to just the way the number of spells learned at those levels works out). Also, I like the idea of changing spells known in-between level ups. My current idea is something like burning incense and taking levels of exhaustion relative to the spell level that's being swapped too. I made this because I play sorcerer and really like it, but am slightly frustrated by how constrictive it can be (especially since most subclasses don't get extra spells know. Maybe something similar can be done for bard if they could use it, but a method like this really isn't overly needed for either class. Ultimately, the most viable solution is to simply have a nice DM who lets you change spells between level up, most likely at a cost or through some ordeal. Oh, and obviously this isn't really a feat, as much as it is a rule change. Finally, this homebrew is a non-tested theory craft for consideration.
