You are highly proficient in crafting metal objects at a forge, granting you the following benefits:

  • You gain proficiency with Smith's Tools if you don’t already have it, or an artisan tool of your choice if you do.
  • If you have access to a forge and a source of raw materials, you can craft mundane metal objects, weapons and armour over a number of days equal to the item's base cost divided by 50gp. This process requires half of the item's base cost in raw materials to be expended.

In addition, you learn the secret to crafting items made from two more exotic metals:

  • Cold Iron: Cold Iron forging requires iron to be processed without a high heat, retaining it's connection with the earth and thus making it extremely deadly to chaotic creatures such as demons, elementals and fey. Crafting items out of cold iron either requires the items usual material cost in pure meteoric iron, or an amount of unrefined iron ore equal to 5x the item's base cost +100gp. Cold Iron weapons forged by you have the additional property of dealing an additional 1d4 unresistable damage to aberrations, elementals and fey.
  • Adamantine: Adamantine forging requires an excessively high heat and may only be achieved at the most well equipped foundries. It is an incredibly brittle but robust metal, able to withstand the toughest blows or to sunder even the toughest creatures or reinforced structures with ease. Sources of adamantine are scarce, but typical material costs are as follows:

    - Light weapon: 500gp
    - Medium weapon: 1000gp
    - Large weapon: 1500gp
    - Medium armour: 3000gp
    - Heavy armour: 5000gp

Adamantine weapons you forge have the siege property, and deal an additional 1d4 unresistable damage to celestials, constructs and dragons.
