Counter-strike

The best offense is a good defense!  If you are hit with a melee attack while you are holding a weapon with the light or finesse properties, you may use your reaction to add your proficiency bonus to your AC, potentially avoiding it.  If you avoid damage in this way the enemy is briefly thrown off-balance, providing you with an attack of opportunity.

Cannot be used when wearing medium armor, heavy armor, or a shield.
