You've honed your craft as a duelist and are now able to tear through an enemies attack and defense with devastating expertise. You gain the following benefits:
- On your turn, when you score a critical hit or reduce a creature to 0 hit points with a melee weapon while holding a light melee weapon in your offhand, you can make one melee weapon attack with your offhand weapon as part of a bonus action.
- This can be as part of the bonus action you normally use to attack or as part of another bonus action ability.
- When you are making an attack with a melee weapon you are proficient in while holding a light melee weapon in your off hand, you can choose to take a -5 penalty to the attack roll. If the attack hits, you add the offhand weapon's damage dice to the attack.
- This is not the same as making an additional attack.
- When you are about to take a devastating blow, you can use your expert reflexes as a duel wielder to potentially knock the attack away. When you are hit by a weapon attack, you may use your reaction to add a bonus to your AC equal to one roll of your offhand weapon's damage dice (no modifier). If the attack still lands, you reduce the damage taken by the amount you rolled.
- You cannot reduce weapon damage dealt by magical weapons or attacks with this reactive defense.
- If you have the Duel Wielder feat, you may ignore the light weapon properties for these abilities. You do not gain these benefits from using a weapon with the heavy or two handed property.
