Arcana Overload

Some magic users have the ability to overload their magical abilities at the expense of their physical being in times of crisis or emergency.

When you take this feat, you can chose a leveled spell and cast it as a 9th level spell. You don't need to be able to cast 9th level spells in order to use this ability. Once you use this ability, you gain two points of exhaustion.

Furthermore, you may choose to expend five of your remaining spell slots of your spell slots to have one of the following effects happen:

• Use the maximum possible dice roll. (i.e. max damage, max hit points healed, etc.)
• Double your dice roll. (i.e. double damage, double hit points healed, etc.)
• For another point of exhaustion, use both maximum damage and double your dice.
• Quadruple the range.
• Have the target(s) automatically fail their saving throw.
• Nullify the target's resistances.

Once you use this feat, you can't use it until you finish a long rest.
