Prerequisite: All ability scores must be equal or greater than 8 .. .. .. .. ..
When you select this feat, all of your ability scores are permanently decreased by 3. You also gain a fated role which you are destined to fulfill (discuss this role with your DM). Once you fulfill this role, increase all ability scores by 5, permanently.
Prior to fulfilling your role, you gain the following traits:
- You cannot be killed, unless by the Disintegrate spell. When rendered unconscious, one day later you return to life, in a bed of your DM’s discretion, with no memory of the circumstances which killed you (no longer than a 6 hour memory gap). Existence is not done with you yet.
- Your spells (if you have the Spellcasting ability) cannot be countered, but any rolls made to avoid or lessen spell damage dealt by you automatically succeed. Follow your path, despite resistance.
- Any physical damage you deal with a weapon or your body is true damage (cannot be reduced or resisted by any effect, except immunity). If damage is avoided via immunity, you gain a Bless/Bane die ( you may choose to expend this die to subtract or add 1d4 to a roll) which you may apply to any roll related to any action you see within 30 feet. You may accumulate Bless/Bane die equal to a third of your total character level, no less than one. You are on your path.
- At or after 12th level, every time you complete a long rest, roll 1d6. You gain this number of Bless/Bane dice. Fate has a purpose for you.
After serving your Role, you lose all pre-purpose effects, and gain the following traits:
- If knocked unconscious, you immediately die. You do not make death saving throws, and you may only be returned to life by the True Resurrection spell. This resurrection may only be completed by an entity with a WIS score of 22 or higher. While you’ve served your purpose, sometimes people you’ve affected still want you around.
- Any Counterspell cast against any spell you cast automatically succeeds. But permanent spell effects you create are immune to the Dispel Magic spell. You’ve left your mark on existence.
- When you eventually die, a tree grows in that place. This tree is half dead, half alive. This tree is impervious to any damage unless dealt by the Disintegrate spell. The character(s) that do this damage become cursed, suffering a permanent -3 to all their ability scores. Attempting to remove this effect by any means spreads the effect to whoever attempted it. This effect cannot be removed. You served existence, and your memories echo throughout it.
