Every person has talents. Some are more proficient in certain areas than others. This feat adds a degree of realism to being a wizard in that there are different talents that can either be beneficial or detrimental to you. Below is a chart showing the different levels of talent you can get after rolling a d20.
- 1: You have incredibly poor talent for magic, instead of recovering all your spell slots with a long rest, you only recover 1/4th of your spell slots.
- 2-5 : You have poor talent for magic, instead of recovering all your spell slots with a long rest, you only recover half of your spell slots.
- 6-16: You have average talent for magic, you recover all spell slots each long rest.
- 17-19: You have good talent for magic, instead of only recovering all your spell slots with a long rest, you also recover your level divided by 2 spell slots each short rest.
- 20: You have incredible talent for magic, instead of only recovering all your spell slots with a long rest, you also recover your levels worth of spell slots each short rest.
This feat is not meant to be good nor bad, it is meant to add a degree of realism.
