After the small price of crushing debt you have obtained a higher education, gaining the following benefits:
- You gain proficiency with one musical instrument and one skill of your choice
- Choose one skill or tool in which you have proficiency. You gain expertise with that skill or tool, which means your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make with it. The skill or tool you choose must be one that isn't already benefiting from a feature, such as Expertise, that doubles your proficiency bonus.
- Choose one 1st-level spell of your choice from the Bard spell list. You can cast this spell without expending a spell slot. Once you cast this spell in this way, you can't cast that spell in this way again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast this spell using spell slots you have of the appropriate level. The spells' spellcasting ability is Charisma.
