The whip is an unconventional weapon, but you have learned to utilize it's unique properties to great advantage. You gain the following benefits:

• When you take the Attack action and attack with only a whip, you can make a special weapon attack to grab a creature with your whip. If you’re able to make multiple attacks with the Attack action, this attack replaces one of them. The target must be no more than one size larger than you and must be within the reach of your weapon. The target must make a strength saving throw against DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice).If they fail the saving throw, you successfully grab the creature with your whip. When the creature is grabbed with your whip, you can choose one of the following three effects to occur:
  • You knock the creature prone.
  • You pull the creature 5 feet in a direction towards you.
  • The creature becomes grappled.
• While you are wielding a whip other creatures provoke an opportunity attack from you when they enter your reach.
