Prerequisite: Able to cast ritual spells

You are able to cast spells beyond your own individual ability by leading other spellcasters in an elaborate ritual.

When attempting cooperative magic, you must know the spell in question (for example, having copied the spell into your spellbook from a scroll). You must provide all normal material components required for the spell. You may have a number of spellcasters equal to your level plus your Intelligence modifier assist you in the casting.

When casting the spell, you and each participating spellcaster within 30 feet must expend one spell slot. Two expended spell slots of the same level can be merged to become a single spell slot of the next level. If casting a higher level spell than you are individually capable of, you must combine enough spell slots to equal the level of the spell you're attempting to cast. For example, two 5th-level wizards can each expend a 3rd-level spell slot to cast a 4th-level spell – or four 5th-level wizards can each expend a 3rd-level spell slot to cast a 5th-level spell.

You must have the Cooperative Magic feat to lead the ritual. If you are leading the casting ritual, you control the spell as if you had cast it by yourself.

Cooperative magic requires an additional casting time of 10 minutes per spell level (for example, a 6th-level spell would require 60 minutes + normal casting time). If the ritual is disrupted, the leading spellcaster must succeed on a Constitution check equal to 10 or half the damage dealt (whichever is higher) or fail the casting. If the casting fails for any reason, a mishap may occur at the DM's discretion.
