You have become specialized with heavy artillery, and can lay siege to your enemies with a simple crossbow. You gain the following benefits:

• You become proficient with all types of crossbow.
• Before rolling for a ranged attack, you may take a -5 penalty to the resulting damage to ignore any bonus to AC your target may have as a result of wearing armor. 
• When you score a critical hit with a crossbow, you roll an additional damage die and apply it to the final damage total.
