You can now increase your physical abilities (Dexterity, Strenght, Constitution) by intense and long processes training.
To do so, your character can't have any exhaustion point and must spend 2 hours training one of your physical abilities. If the training is a success you will gain a point respectively of which ability you trained and when you reach the number of points equal to your score + 1, you gain +1 in your score.
When you start to do the training you will have to make rollies against your DM, but your dice will add your respective modifier and the DM's dice will also add your modifier. Three successes will grant you the point, a natural 20 will, not only give you the point but also give you a +D2 on your rolls involving this score for 24 hours. Three failures will force your character to do a Constitution Save with disadvantage, the DC of 10 + your modifier of the skill you were training. Depending on the ability you choose to train, the failure of this save will have different effects on your body but regardless of the ability you choose you automatically will gain a point of exhaustion that will last for 24 hours, and will not disappear if a long rest is done but can be removed by magical means
