Your training in battlefield tactics grant you the ability to fight in formations.
Formation Fighting
You can command five of more friendly creatures to form a battleformation. Those in the formation have to be within 10ft of eachother, and stay within this distance, or the formation brakes up, and the effect ends.
Combat order and attack rolls
When fighting together, the creatures in the formation move in the same initiative (If the commander is not in the formation, the formation follows the commander in initiative order, If the commander is in the formation, the formations initiative is the average of the creatures initiative in the formation rounded up).
When attacking, members of the formation can add the commander's charisma modifier to their attack rolls (can be negative). Those attacking with a weapon or attack that has more than 5ft of range (magic, spear, bow, ect.) can attack over the shoulders of one line of friendly creatures if they are no more than 5ft apart.
Saving throws
Creatures fighting in formation have advantidge on saving throws against frightened condition if at least half of the creatures in the formation isn't frightened. If more than half of the formation is frightened, all creatures in the formation fall under the frigtened condition as well and the formation brakes up.
If the front row of the formation has shield equipped, the creatures gain the benefit of the Protection Fighter fighting style (disadvantadge on attack rolls against the creatures) if the attack comes from the front row's deriction.
If the commander goes down
If the commander goes down, the formation throw a 1d20 save for a save DC 15 to maintain formation. The commander's charisma modifier is no longer added to attack rolls.
