(This feat requires an alignment of neutral or evil)
You gain the ability to steal the precious last moments of a life, defiling a creature's death.
When a creature dies within your sight, you may use your reaction to control the dead creature's final actions. You can puppet the creature for one turn making it take any movements, actions, interactions, etc. that it was able take before it died.
- Any attack puppet creature makes automatically fails.
-The puppet creature cannot cast spells.
- The puppet creature may still grapple other creatures.
If the puppet creature is made to talk, it speaks as if it were the dead creature, though since it is your puppet you must choose the exact words it says. After the puppet creature has finished its turn your control over the body ends and the creature returns to being a dead body.
In combat, the puppet creature's turn is taken in the same place as if it had not died.
The puppet creature's actions, movements etc. do not count against yours when you control it.
The puppet creature maintains its own stats while being controlled.
When your control over a dead body stops, you may choose one of the following effects:
- Nothing happens and the body remains as is.
- The flesh of the body melts into blood, ash, insects, mist, clay, or some other nonvaluable biproduct.
- The body ages and or degrades at an accelerated rate to the point of your choosing, up to being a skeleton. This does not affect how long the creature has been dead.
Once this ability is used, it cannot be used again until a short or long rest is taken.
